What a way to put a bow on our 10th year in business. What an incredible honour to be chosen as THE BEST small business in the city. We just cant put into words how special that night was, or how special every single message and comment of congratulations is. Women who knew our Mom are messaging from all over Alberta to express their well wishes and share stories of her. There truly could be no greater honour than to have the chance to share her legacy with the community that has helped make our dreams come true. This has been the highlight of this Bra Lounge journey, no question.Read More
A few months ago we were excited to find out we'd been nominated for Business of the Year with the Chamber of Commerce Red Deer. We fall into the Small Business category with less than 10 employees, and this is the second time in 5 years we were recognized by our community members in this way. We're wrapping up our 10th year in business with another customer appreciation and fundraiser for a cause near to our hearts, Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Imagine your child's diagnosis at 3 weeks old, 2 years old, 8 years old. The age doesn't matter. All that matters is that how a "terminal" diagnosis rock's a family forever.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults.
At present, there is no cure.
Here’s the backstory….
Six years ago I had a terrible ac
cident. A compound fracture left me with very little cartilage in my ankle. Every step I took even after I had healed from the break felt like someone was hitting my ankle with a hammer.
We truly cannot believe our 10th Anniversary has arrived. Some days it feels like it was just yesterday we were planning opening day, and other days it feels like 50 years has gone by! Much has happened in our lives in 10 years. We started this journey as 2 passionate kids with big dreams and nothing to lose. We had nothing better to do than work everyday to get Cortney's idea off the ground and nurture its growth, and ultimately, our own growth. Want to know the story? Pour a glass of wine and join my little walk down Memory Lane.Read More
